The first Grand Prix cycliste in Lanaudière

The first Grand Prix cycliste in Lanaudière will be held on June 15th, 2014. The departure will be set in the village of Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez. The competitors will borrow magnificent country roads towards Sainte-Béatrix and Saint-Jean-de-Matha, and on their return to Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez, they will cycle along the lake Cloutier and threw the village of Sainte-Béatrix.

This road cycling race, of interprovincial level, is sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes (FQSC).

The race will be held few weeks before the Canadian Road Cycling Championships: two weeks before the man and woman seniors categories, three weeks before the man and woman juniors and masters categories.

Therefore, the event and the distances offered, represent a great opportunity to prepare for the Championships.

Three categories will be held for men and women: Junior, Master and Senior.

Distance will vary between 108 and 162 kilometers, according to the category.
